Early Years Learning Coach

Early Years (Scale A) Commencing Term 3, 2017. What is a Learning Coach?

  • A tutor, an expert, a mentor, a teacher

The main roles of a Learning Coach

  • Overall designer of the learning process, of guiding and directing the learners, of supporting the learning through learning talks with individuals, small and large groups. At the same time, ensure learners acquire knowledge bases and essential concepts.
  • The Learning Coach should be regarded as responsible for collaboratively ‘engineering’ a learning environment, both in its design and its operation.
  • In essence, Learning Coaches design, mentor, stimulate, provoke, engage, diagnose, educate and teach.
