In Term 2 and again in Term 4 our Learners lead a conference with their Hapu Learning Coach and their whanau. This is a really great way to nurture our home-school partnership and share the #oresome learning that our wonderful young people are engaging in.
The learners in LH1 and LH3 give a short presentation to their whanau using their Learning Pathway as the portal . The parents see samples of their learning, reflections on their learning, goals they have made and of course their narrative assessments. The learners were super proud and so were their parents- ka pai!
The learners in LH2 and LH4 had a discussion with their parents and Hapu Learning Coach about their learning and showed their parents some of their #oresome narratives in their blog. Parents also learned how they could access the blogs at home.
It is really important to us that our parents read the narratives and talk about them with their children. We really want them to comment on the blogs, where the educators and learners put the narrative assessments (learning stories) too!
Our narratives capture the learning as it happens and identify key next steps for all of our learners. They are unique and special to us @OrmPS and we are very proud of them. Thank you for all of the comments that are there already.
