We started Term 2 with a reminder about Road Safety – both when travelling by foot and with wheels. Five enthusiastic members of our Travelwise team joined Eadaoin from Auckland Transport to wave placards at passing motorists on Ormiston Road. They were thrilled to receive over 30 toots of appreciation.

Every year in May we celebrate New Zealand Sign Language week.
This year at Ormiston Primary School we kicked off the week with a special Hui.
LH5 prepared and practiced special performances the whole week. We had:
1. comedy drama
2. a short drama giving out a message
3. NZSL words teaching
4. a dance and song fully in NZSL.

Collaborative Community day was an opportunity for the kids to show their capabilities at being collaborative! They got to dress up as pirates and then participate in a range of collaborative activities such as acid river, making up a chant and a flag.
Our super #oresome team participated in our 3rd annual #oresome challenge. This year they worked in their whanau teams: Connected Whanau, Capable Whanau, Collaborative Whanau and Curious Whanau.
